Where to get an HVAC Certification or Associate’s Degree
If you’re looking to get an HVAC job, you’ll need to complete a certification program (at the very least). These usually take one year of study to complete and can open up the door to HVAC job opportunities. You can receive even better HVAC job training and education by getting your HVAC Associate’s Degree instead of just completing a certification program. If you’re working as or aspiring to be an HVAC technician, an HVAC certification will probably be enough and can be completed in one year of study. But if you want to do more in the HVAC industry (contractor, building service engineer, air balance or service technician, etc.), you’re most likely going to need to do some more studying and HVAC job training to receive your Associate’s Degree. This can be a daunting process, but if you have the will to focus and the means to attend school, it will be manageable.
To help you with finding the right school for you, here is a list of some of the largest and most reputable HVAC programs in the country (according to Education Portal):
· Miami Dade College (School of Computer & Engineering Technologies)
· Northern Virginia Community College
· Florida Community College at Jacksonville
All these schools will greatly improve your chances for finding great HVAC jobs. Happy studies!
