HVAC Opportunities Abound With New Green Codes
In a time when industry tax breaks and federal stimulus packages seem to be everywhere, perhaps the biggest shot in the arm to the HVAC industry are the new green codes are drawing in business. With more and more states adopting the International Energy Conservation Code, HVAC professionals are being called upon more and more to upgrade the environmental friendliness of buildings old and new.
In a recent conference held by the Air Conditioning Contractors of America, Mike DeWein of the Alliance to Save Energy stated that these new environmental building codes are “opening a huge realm of opportunities” for HVAC professionals everywhere.
There are many resources available to HVAC professional in order to receive the necessary training they need to capitalize on this expanding opportunity. Perhaps the best form of education can be found by heading to an HVAC conference, like the AHR exposition in Las Vegas in January 2011. At these conferences, there are always presentations to keep you posted on the newest trends in green technology.
The important thing to remember about HVAC is that you can never have too much HVAC jobs training. So put your studying cap back on and acquaint yourself to the new developments in green codes. Due to the influx of eco-friendliness and cold hard cash, the future of HVAC is very green!
