AHR Expo: The World’s Largest HVAC Event

January is going to be a great month. Why? Because everyone in the HVAC industry is getting ramped up and ready for the AHR Expo, the world’s largest HVAC event, January 25-27 in Orlando, Florida.

What the AHR Expo Does

The AHR Expo provides a place for everyone in the HVAC industry – business owners, technicians, users and students in HVAC training – to buy, sell, network and learn all about what is hot in HVAC. Attending (or at least following the AHR news!) means that you have exposure to the freshest trends and most important people in the industry. If you are going to be in the Orlando area, you’d be smart to stop by.

What to Expect from AHR Expo 2010

Green and efficient HVAC appliances are exploding on the market and the AHR Expo is on top of it. Look for education opportunities on topics such as:

  • Energy Efficiency
  • Indoor Air Quality
  • Energy Saving and Reclaiming
  • Building Control and Automation
  • Green Building Initiatives/Sustainability
  • Alternative Energy Sources
  • Mold and Moisture

There will be over 70 sessions and workshops on varying topics that offer certificiation and in many cases continuing education credits, so anyone interested in pushing their HVAC training even further should most certainly take advantage.

This years show is expecting 1,800 companies to hold exhibits (including 200 first-timers and 375 international exhibitors), the big names in HVAC industry (ever heard of ASHRAE?) and over 25,000 visitors. The Expo is a place to see and be seen.

Why This Year’s AHR Expo Will Be the One to Attend

The numbers for the 2010 AHR Expo are looking good, even on the coat tails of a recession and after a problematic couple of years in the industry. The Phc News Blog quotes Show organizer Clay Stevens: “We expect that there is already some pent up demand for new products and technologies and that thousands of buyers from around the world will be coming to the Show to make purchasing decisions.” Government incentives encouraging energy-efficient and green products mean that many never-before-seen items will be revealed at AHR and are sure to make a splash.
