HVAC Product Salesmen: Rather than going to install or repair HVAC products, you could be in charge of selling them to homeowners and/or businesses. This is an excellent way to still be part of the HVAC industry if you cannot meet the physical requirements of the job for some reason or another.
Refrigeration Technician: These workers specialize in working on refrigeration systems. Generally speaking, another individual or team of individuals install the units and the technicians work on them should any problems every arise.
Maintenance Technician: These workers specialize in the repair of HVAC systems rather their installation. This follows the same principles as the Refrigeration Technicians.
Mechanical Engineer: Mechanical Engineers are the professionals who design and develop different machines. Mechanical Engineers are usually the ones who research and develop various kinds of HVAC systems for both residential and commercial purposes.
Service Manager: Service Managers work hard to ensure that installers and technicians are doing their jobs well and correctly, working to to ensure their customers are happy and returning to their company for all of their HVAC needs.
Facilities Manager: This person is responsible for the day to day maintenance of buildings, offices, or other specific areas. People in this position are responsible for checking and taking care of the HVAC systems in use.
Sheet metal Technician: Sheet metal technicians design the necessary sheet metal components for the HVAC and duct equipment.
Pipe fitters: Pipe fitters are the people who lay out the piping and design how it will work together to ensure that the HVAC equipment functions correctly.
Duct Mechanic: These professionals work to create and repair ducts necessary for HVAC equipment to run correctly.
To be involved with HVAC does not always require that you learn how to install and repair HVAC systems.
